Recent Announcements and Useful Information
Letitia Pollard has come across this very interesting ITA Survey which was conducted in the 1940’s and handed over by Bord Failte in 1983 to library services. The Irish Tourist Association (ITA) Survey emerged in 2023 as an online archive hosted by various County Library services in Ireland. It is a treasure trove of information and images and has now been digitized by several counties, offering a unique glimpse into Ireland’s cultural and physical heritage. Though not all records have survived, and a central database is lacking, the survey serves as an invaluable tool for local history enthusiasts and members of the Irish diaspora tracing their roots.
