This page provides a policy statement regarding the data protection obligations of our Association, thus ensuring that we comply with Data Protection Regulations within Irish/EU Legislation. This policy applies to all personal data collected and stored in the course of our activities.

Who we are

The Fáilte Tourism Retired Association (FTRA) is comprised of members who are past employees of Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Ireland, Bord Fáilte, CERT and the Regional Tourism Organisations and other people associated with them. Privacy Policy

  • The Fáilte Tourism Retired Association stores specific personal information about its members. This includes: name, postal address, email address, contact phone numbers and details of membership fee payments (including those fees deducted from pensions).
  • The information collected is used for the administration of the Association and to promote events run by the Association on behalf of its members. The data is stored in a database and is only accessed by the Committee for conducting the business of the Association.
  • Information is never shared with any other body or organisation.
  • The Association’s mailing list is only used for events organised by the Association, and for communications to its members that are relevant to the Association.
  • Once a person ceases to be a member of the Association, their information is deleted from the database.
  • At some events, photographs are taken that may include people’s images and are published on the website. Where this occurs, the Committee facilitates those concerned if they ask for their image to be removed from the website; and comply with such requests in a timely fashion.
