Failte Tourism Retired Association

(FTRA)

Welcome to the Website of the Fáilte Tourism Retired Association. The FTRA was launched in March 2000. The objectives of the association are:

• To provide a forum/focus for retired members to meet and take part in social, cultural and educational activities
• To promote a spirit of friendship and self help amongst the members
• To encourage positive attitudes to ageing and retirement

The following are eligible for membership:

• Persons who are on pension from Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Ireland, Bord Fáilte, CERT and the Regional Tourism Organisations
• Widows/widowers of above persons
• Spouses, partners and carers of above persons
• Non-pensioners who have worked in any of the organisations listed above for at least 20 years
• In special circumstances, at the discretion of the FTRA Committee, anyone who has worked in the organisations listed above

The association, which enjoys the goodwill of Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland, operates with a voluntary committee. An AGM is held annually to report on the years activities and receive feedback from the membership.
