Failte Tourism Retired members went wild on the Atlantic Way, when we travelled by train to Galway, the colourful City of the Tribes. This bohemian city is crammed with culture.

After a substantial lunch on arrival at Park House Hotel and Restaurant – which was delicious – we explored the many attractions, medieval heritage, historic landmarks, traditional music, beaches and seaside promenade that makes Galway a mecca for the many.

However, being mindful of the time and not allowing ourselves become too distracted by the many Galwegian delights, we didn’t get to “to watch the moon rise over Claddagh and see the sun go down on Galway Bay.” Next time maybe!
